Ruth Nessim is a Jewish believer in Jesus who was born in London, England, and spent the Second World War dodging the Blitz. For the next several years, she coped with crushing poverty and rampant anti-Semitism. After a neighbor told her one day to go back to Palestine “where she belonged,” Ruth experienced a growing desire to make Israel her home. Finally, in 1971, she and her husband, Albert, took their three children and made Aliyah. In Israel, God gave the Nessims two more children and, to date, fifteen grandchildren. The picture above shows Albert conducting his last Passover Seder in 2006. Although Albert went to be with the Lord in 2007, Ruth continues to live in Northern Israel where she remains an active part of the Messianic community. Today, she counts among her many friends and acquaintances, Jews, Arabs, and even Palestinians!
