This year we chose to decorate our calendar with spectacular photos of the Land of Israel taken by our dear brother John Theodore. In his photographs, his love for the Creator of heaven and earth is evident. This calendar is dedicated to his memory.
John Theodore was born in Sydney, Australia. He grew up in a messianic family and came to faith at a young age. In 1997 he obeyed God’s call to preach to the Jews, as it is written “the Jew first” (Romans 1:16) and emigrated to Israel.
Over the years, John longed to bless the people of Israel and did so within the local community in Jerusalem and through the spread of the gospel. He loved men and believed that the purest work of God was the love of others and helping the needy, widows, and orphans. He was always looking for ways to help others, support God’s servants, and be a blessing to the people of Israel. John was an avid photographer. He loved to be with God and found peace and joy in his creation. In 2000, John founded a company in Jerusalem called PhotoZion. As a resident of Israel, he saw the historical and biblical importance of the Promised Land and wanted to bring this message to the world. Using the camera lens he captured the beauty of the land and the kindness with which its people were blessed.
John passed away in October 2021 leaving behind a wife and three teenage children.
