Israel is traditionally known for its seven fruits: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates (Deut. 8:8), all native to the country. In biblical times the served as the main food of the ancient Middle East.
Diana Shimon (1967) immigrated to Israel from Georgia of the former Soviet Union in 1990. She first studied painting under Maestro Leo Ray. Presently she is engaged in the production of 400 illustrations of the Bible, to be published in the Modern Hebrew Bible for Children.
The series is produced on high quality art paper and signed by the artist.
