The book of Leviticus is not just a collection of instructions and laws regarding the order of sacrifices and the worship of God in the distant past. As in all the Bible, we find here principles and truths of eternal value, and symbols with prophetic significance that find their fulfillment in the Messiah.

The late Dr. Louis Goldberg was a Jewish Christian, a professor of Theology and Jewish Studies in Moody Bible School in the USA. He wrote several books and articles on the Old and New Testaments, and on theology. He was part of the teams that translated the Bible into the English versions New International and New King James.
