The main principles of our faith. Many, and especially those who believe in Jesus, are troubled by difficult and important questions: Who is God? Who am I? What is the meaning of life? This book is a summary of an essay written by John Calvin in order to answer these and similar questions. He was convinced that life could be understood only in the light of God's grace.

In our day, people tend to think of Calvin as a heartless didactic who insisted on crossing his t's and dotting his i's, with no joy in life. This book proves how far from reality such a picture is. Warmth, love, excitement, fear of God, joy and true worship characterised the way he approached God and His Word. These should characterise us, also.
