Besides the struggle in the days of the Apostles regarding the future of Israel, many other questions arose that we are still dealing with today: Who are we, the people of Israel who believe in Jesus, and who were our spiritual forefathers? What was the church like in the days of the apostles, and what should it be like today? What challenges did the early believers face, and how did they deal with them? How should we live in a hostile society where the authorities doubt the trustworthiness and loyalty of those who believe in Jesus, simply because of their faith? How should we define our faith, and what characterises it? This book describes how the early church responded to these questions.
