These original, vibrant, gouache works of art bring the world of the Bible to life: they are authentic and true to the times, geography and cultures of the Bible. They accurately depict the material cultures of the biblical periods and their varying landscapes and climates, as well as the flora and the fauna of ancient Israel. They send the reader thousands of years back into history, to biblical Israel as revealed through archeological findings. All drawings have been edited for detail by a competent archeologist.

Artist Diana Shimon has illustrated the entire set of the Testimony, as well as other books for HaGefen (Lior's Prayer, the children's catechism). She has exhibited extensively in Israel and abroad, and had her illustrations featured in 2008 and in 2011 on Israel postage stamps.  She also doubles as HaGefen's graphic artist, combining her artistic talent with modern graphic technology to create beautiful works of art, whether the annual HaGefen calendar, greeting cards, or the graphics of HaGefen book covers.
