Freshman, Charles 1819-1875 - A hungarian rabbi serving in Quebec City, Canada in the 18th century, came to faith in his Messiah with his wife and seven children, and became a minister in the Wesleyan Methodist church. Friedmann, Nathaniel 1870-1941 - Friedmann came from Russia in order to stop Jewish missionary Daniel Landsman. He came to faith in Jesus instead, and became Landsman's successor!

Goldberg, John Benjamin - Former rabbi from the Perushim sect in Jerusalem Griess, Samuel ca. 1886 - Rabbi Samuel Griess, who officiated in the Rivington-Street Synagogue in New York, came to faith in 1886, evidently through the witness of Jacob Freshman, son of a rabbi who himself came to faith. Gurland, Chaim (Rudolf Hermann) 1836-1905 - Chaim Gurland, the son of a zealous Rabbi in Vilnia, Lithuania, was not yet five years old when his father taught him the word "God". Soon he was able to read the Holy Scriptures and he loved the narratives of Elijah so much that one night he ran away from home because he "wanted to go up into heaven like Elijah"! It took days before the half-starved boy was found....

Jadownicky, David Bernhard 1799- - Born in Poland, studied at a Yeshiva in Berlin from 1813-18, and served as rabbi at Solingen from 1818-20. He was baptised in 1821, in Frankfort. In 1823, as a student in Princeton, he tried for form a prayer union for the Jewish people but with with little response from fellow students.

He and his wife came to faith in their Messiah through the witness of Scottish missionaries, and for the rest of their lives served as missionaries to their people. Lichtenstein, Isaac (Ignatz) 1824-1909 - Orthodox Rabbi Isaac Lichtenstein was a prolific writer. After having been a Rabbi for decades, he became a believer in Yeshua the Messiah.

His life changed completely after reading the New Testament for himself. Monis, Judah 1683-1764 - Rabbi Judah Monis, the first Jew to receive a college degree in the American colonies and N.America's first instructor of Hebrew.
